CRAIN'S CHICAGO BUSINESS | 10 Things To Do - September 7, 2016

Art in River North and Ravenswood, 'How to Succeed in Business'

By: Hank Sartin

From Crain’s: Whether it's a gala event, a once-in-a-lifetime concert or a hidden gem of a play, we're here to up your cultural (and fun) IQ. Here are top picks for your cultural calendar for the coming week, the coming month and beyond.

2. River North is densely packed with art galleries and with interior design shops of all sorts, so the oddest thing about the River North Design District's Gallery Walk is that it's taken this long for it to happen. A selection of artists' work will be displayed in shops including Oscar Isberian Rugs, lighting store Lightology and Montauk Sofa. It's a chance to see work from emerging and established artists (including pastry chef Gale Gand (who also has a background as a painter). Think of it as a chance to see artwork in a design context. Sept. 9, 5-9 p.m. Free. Various venues in River North. More Info.
