This handsome storage chest is from Tianjin, China and made from elmwood and dates to the mid-1900s (during the time of Mao Zedong). The piece features three drawers, Dual opening doors, and a beautiful aged patina. Due to long use, the lacquer finish has rubbed off leading to variations in color. Bronze, pear-shaped handles are present and symbolize fortune and prosperity in Chinese.
