Chesterfield Chair on Casters

This Classic Chesterfield design is the definition of old fashioned luxury. True to form and style, a myriad of button tufts create a quilted texture that covers the back, seat and rolled arms of each piece. The unique design and choice of leather upholstery is linked back to an 18th century aristocrat, the Earl of Chesterfield, who wished to provide a comfortable seat to his guests that would not wrinkle their clothes. The piece features a handsome, well-worn patina that can anchor or compliment any style interior.

The rich dark red leather is in overall good condition with no tears, holes or significant scratches. There is some moderate bleaching and discoloration due to normal use and exposure to both sunlight and cleaning. This is especially noticeable on the upper arms and back, but the effect is one of gentle age and appropriate patina. The leather is still supple. All leather is stretched across foam cushioning. The seat foam is supported by hand-tied springs.
