GT Atelier Chinese Architectural Fragment Lamps

These wooden pin talismans were previously secured above a doorway to a family temple; these “pegs” were used to support a sign that hung atop the entryway. It is hand-carved with auspicious designs depicting a Qilin holding up a ribbed, lotus form disk while other mythical beasts and floral motifs appear in cartouches below.

The Golden Triangle’s workshop fabricated custom bases with lamp arm extensions, which stretch overtop and create a stunning play of shadows across the intricate carvings and handsomely aged patina. The carvings remain intact and are fully removable.
