Chinese Cabinet

This cabinet came from Jiang Zhu, China and dates to the mid 1900’s. It was originally used to provide extra storage in the dining or sleeping areas of a comfortable home. It is made from sham mu wood, covered in beautifully aged re lacquer and features traditional mortise-and-tenon joinery. No nails were used. The top part is made with lattice panels, and the lower portion of the cabinet features two drawers and two solid wood doors.
