Chinese Painting Table with Round Legs

This table is simple in its design. The legs are set back from the edge of the tabletop and are slightly splayed to provide stability. The apron is straight and unadorned. A pair of rounded stretchers provide additional support. Like most Chinese furniture, tables like these were multipurpose. This table likely doubled as a scholar's desk and was used for calligraphy, painting, and writing. Color has been changed to black.
