Chines Shrine Display Stand

$900.00
This slotted display shelf features narrow alcoves for holding ancestral figurines. It was probably part of a much more elaborate display built in tiers. The centerpiece of the display was an ancestral scroll painting. In front and below, a table for burning incense. The piece is made from Elm Wood covered in black lacquer and trimmed with cinnabar lacquer. We believe it dates to the late 19th Century and came from Shanxi, China.
