$11,500.00
Comprised of 35 pieces, this set of 3-D plastic shapes was designed and made by Professor Antonio Iniesta of the Educational Research Cabinet in Madrid. These geometric solids with multi-plane faces (in combining form ‘-hedron’ as in “octahedron”) were used to describe the reality of space, shapes, and render perspectives of volume and measurement. The original boxes with labels and a typewritten statement by the professor accompany the set of forms. The statement details classifications for these forms or “didactic units”—as Iniesta refers to them—identifying both the inscribed and circumscribed figures/planes. / Curiosities. Oddities. Objet de Vertu... No matter the term these multicolored transparent polymer figures are visually and mentally simulating; composed of clear, neon yellow, and neon pink plastics they are exquisitely handcrafted and beautiful. / The box label of the box reads: Profesor: Antonio Iniesta / Especialista en Didáctíca Aplicada / Unidades Didacticas de Geometria del Espacio / figuras inscriptas en octaedro Diseñada y construida en el Gabinete de Investigacion Didáctíca del Profesor Iniesta Madrid. We have placed the 35 pieces in a LED backlight wood and glass box for display.
