19th Century Napoleonic Frieze

This limestone relief depicts a Napoleonic eagle amidst classical scrollwork. It appears to be of the period (1803 - 1815) and probably was found on a government building. The French Imperial Eagle was used by the Grande Armée of Napoleon I during the Napoleonic Wars due to its association with antiquity. The piece is moderately eroded but has no large chips or cracks.
