British Colonial Teak Wood Bookcase

This handsome cabinet comes in two parts; the top has three sets of glass pane doors that open to shelves on top and three sets of glass pane doors on the bottom for additional storage. Its scale and ample storage make this a perfect book display for an office or library. The bookcase was made from teak wood which has a natural insect repellent in order to protect books and documents; this is why teak wood was used for bookcases and display cabinets during the British Colonial era.
