Ming Dynasty Cabinet with Two Drawers

This cabinet came from Jiang Zhu, China and dates to the mid 1900’s. It was originally used to provide extra storage in the dining or sleeping areas of a comfortable home. It is made from sham mu wood, covered in beautifully aged re lacquer and features traditional mortise-and-tenon joinery. No nails were used. The top part is made with lattice panels and the lower portion of the cabinet features two drawers and two solid wood doors.
