Monumental Ming Style Round-Corner Tapered Cabinet

This expansive cabinet has a central stile and a hidden compartment. Inside the five paneled doors there are two shelves; the second shelf houses two drawers. The false-bottom has a metal pull, making the additional storage space easily accessible. Square legs flank the pain apron and apron-head spandrels on the front and sides. Traditionally, impressive cabinets of this size and stature would only be found in the homes of scholar-officials.
