Petite Southeast Asian Stoneware Pot

This small bowl is an Indian kitchen utensil; used as a storage container for herbs and spices, it also functions as a mortar to hold finely crushed or pounded ingredients that have been ground with a pestle. These dark colored crocks make handsome decorative additions to any tabletop, and can also be used functionally—the bottoms have been felted to protect surfaces they rest on. Shown in a group for comparison as sizes vary; each disk is sold individually and has its own unique decoration, shape, and coloring.
