"Red, Black, Grey" Printer's Tray Artwork by Douglas Van Tress

This woodblock composition is made from Teakwood printer’s trays fitted with colored wood blocks. The blocks represent various shades of the color cinnabar, which is favored in Asia and found on wooden and lacquered vessels, furniture, architecture, and sculpture. The composition was designed by Douglas Van Tress and built by the Golden Triangle atelier in 2018. The piece can be hung horizontally on the cleat provided or hung vertically. Made from reclaimed printer's tray; wear consistent with age and use.
